Anyone use Itoya 9x12?

From prior discussions in animanga I saw that most people use Itoya 11x14 to keep their cels. I have quite a few cels with no BG and I just don't like how the cels move around so I went and bought a 9x12 which fit my cels perfectly. I have decided to use only 1 sleeve per cel tho... But still I am not sure if this is even okay since for some odd reason wasn't cels supposed to be 9.5 in height? Ah well, just trying to figure out what the best way to store them is.. Because frankly I do not like the cel bags as they seem to react with the paint. Also since I am storing only 1 cel per sleeve I took out the divider for fear of the paper sticking to the cel. I was just wondering what others have done... Any better storage solutions out there?

As I read this, I'm sitting here with a Tenchi cel and a ruler, and found that it measures just under 9" high. Maybe some regular-sized cels are slightly higher; I don't know, and I'm too lazy to go and look.

I've got mine in Itoya 11 x 14s, in bags, with dividers. I sure hope they will last.

If they will actually fit in 9 x 12s, it would make storage easier. I'll have to check before I run out of space in my latest 11 x 14.

Thank you for your reply. My regular sized cels fit perfectly in the 9x12... I just really don't like celbags though because I've noticed quite a few bags are cloudy or has wrinkles at the back where the cel paint was. I threw them all away because also of static sticking...

I'm just I guess trying to figure out if I should use the black paper inserts as a divider and have 2 in one sleeve as it was meant to be. I'm not sure if the cel will stick to this paper insert but I hang my folders which I hope helps prevent that. I just don't know I guess. I wish they had colored archival plastic inserts so I can replace those paper ones and help with the non-bending. These Itoya sleeves are too soft.

I would put a cel in an itoya celbag b/c if you put a paper between it might stick to a cel and also all dusts might get into paint in a cel.

If a cel stucks to a celbag it is very easy to remove it (I did once) than a paper.....

Just IMO :)

Yeah it does not look pretty but I think it will protect cel much better than papers.

Also I usually buy frame matts for cels so that it looks pretty and preventing bending a cel... (also I use cel boxes instead of books....). It is just me :)

I second what kittens says. I wouldn't consider placing the cels right next to the black inserts under any circumstances.

I know what you mean about cel bags with wrinkles - I've received some of those. But I wonder how long they've been stored to make them that way. And in any event, they peel off pretty easily.
