Anyone use Itoya 9x12?

Okay thank you all. I think for now I'm going to stick to the itoya but place a partition between the cel and black insert.

Kittens unfortunately I can't matt all my cels. I might matt RK though and Macross we shall see. I don't really know how to do that you see...

Doug the reason is, I've only had my cels in the bags for a little while, maybe 2-3 months. During that time there was no crumpling aside from very old cels I bought. I dont know why it is doing that crumpling. I figured it must be because the celbags are air-tight sealed.

Well I guess it's time to look at celbags again. I do not like what I had earlier, they were too thin and ripped so easily. Any recommendations?

It is very very easy :) I found an URL for the seller :)

Each
mat has a plastic holder so you can store them really nicely and it looks like framed :) They are a bit expensive but I have tried to store each of my cel separately with these mats :)

Also you can store a sketch with the mat as well. It does not show but it has also a thick board with the mat so it prevents bending ^_^

No matter what, definitely, definitely use celbags! Even if you put them in an Itoya, they'll still scratch very easily since dirt will have an easy time getting in.

I know what you're talking about. XD Most cels I get from Japan come in closed celbags that rip very, very easily. I think that in Japan, you usually never take the cel out of the bag, so they don't have to worry about it ripping.

There's an excellent seller to buy bags from on Ebay. His are very thick, and he has the self-sealing kind and the kind with just a flap that you fold over. I've used the large self-sealing kind for my backgrounds, and they work like a charm. I have no problems opening them back up to take the background out.

In any case, it's best to throw away all of the bags your cels came in. They've probably been on the cels for years (probably since the first dealer bought them). Some would even say you should throw away bags if you take the cels out of them (I mean the bags that you originally put on).
