ATTENTION ALL RS MEMBERS!! NO SALE BLOGS

I keep making that same suggestion Zag. Important news, rules or something should be on the front page. It would help new members as well as people who don't visit the forums.

I completely agree, adding critical news updates with links directly to the threads in the forums would be helpful.

Also, I would like to suggest a Q&A section where people post questions for anything that cannot be found in other threads and a mod can answer them. Every so often these Q&As can be seperated and filed into respective pinned commonly asked questions or some n00bs threads at the top of the respective forum sections.

While we will see if a message can be added to the rolling scroll, I truly doubt that those who will make the mistake of posting sales are truly going to stop to read anything the shows up there. I mean it is not really that hard to click the latest post section of the forum and find all of the posts on this subject. Not to mention all of the other posts , blog posts and word of mouth that has been done on this.

Plenty of people do not visit the RS forums. The blog post about not posting sales in blogs was bumped off the front page in a matter of hours. Some people are either not signed up to the JACML or don't use that same email address anymore. You cannot assume we all have equal access or speak the same language. The rotating/revolving spot on the front page is very eye catching and would be a great place to have the rules. It would be easy for everyone to find and hard to deny seeing. It's better than having "news" from May 2005 up there as it is.

I highly doubt most people who sign up for a RS gallery are going to pay attention to the revolving post. Hell, In the 3 years I had my gallery here...I could honestly say I RARELY glanced at it...Let alone click on anything rotating there.

I think it would be very productive, if in the signing up process, a page is created, with said rules and regulations about what can and can NOT be posted in galleries. Having it in a few languages would be great too. I'm sure there's plenty of RS members willing to volunteer their language skills in Japanese, French, German, Spansih, etc. Make it simple and fast to read. Put a link up there for "Any other questions? Visit our forums before signing up!" You can put a timer on the page for 30 seconds or so...To make sure ppl are possibly attempting ot read the page. Or, do the "I accept" checkbox before they can continue.

Only after someone gets in trouble and has their gallery suspended do they go looking for answers.

Dunno...Just a thought...
