What to do if you try and try - but -

I was interested in a cel in the RS shop, did the contact owner thing, and the cel has been marked as being on hold.

However, despite a second attempt to get the owner by email, I have yet to get a response. It's been a couple of months, and the cel is still marked as on hold, but I'm in limbo as far as completing this deal. I even did ask in the emails if the cel was still available, since I know some people don't keep totally up to date and the put-up date was in 2005.

What are the options at this point? I'm ready to cancel any deal at this point, but how to go about doing that?

If you've already contacted the seller through their RS gallery and waited for quite sometime (ie. over a month), then I'd suggest sending out a massive ping via JACML. Make sure to apologize to the group at large since JACML usually isn't meant for individuals contacting one another.

In addition to this, I'd try sending yet another friendly email via the RS feedback feature. But this time around, make sure to express your concern and give a reasonable deadline (i.e. "I hope to hear back from you within ten days via email, confirming our transaction is in progress and the cel you placed on hold for me is still available. If I do not hear back from you then I must assume you no longer are interested in selling. Thank you.")

Excluding this, IF you have the desire and time, consider posting a "Where in the World IS ..." on Rubberslug AnimeBeta, and Animanga.

If you do not hear back within the deadline I'd forget about it and move on. It really is their loss moreso than yours. Just my ten cents.

If this person even still has the cel they obviously do not go online anymore for cel buying/selling. What would be funny though is if they have updated their RS site since you have tried to contact them! I've had this happen with people wanting to purchase my cels many-a-time.

But what is JACML? I belong to anime-beta, but haven't heard about any other forum (except for the once-grand cels.org).
