Is paint lost avoidable?

Well heres a topic regarding whetha paint lost is avoidable.

As we all know paint lost is very common, as time goes by cel will somehow lose paint.

But my concern is whetha paint lost is avoidable.

So for example, If I had a brand new recieve NARUTO REPRODUCTION cel. It would be in PERFECT condition.

If I store this cel in a frame, out of sunlight. 10years later will this cel still be in its 100% perfect condition, or will paint lost still appear.

If paint lost still occure, what would the reason be since this cel is kept so perfectly well.

Any suggestion? Yeah im bored thats why I start up a topic..

Bored O_o I wouldn't have guessed.

I bet you anything little cel paint fairies will come along and steal some paint whilst you are not looking :p hehe Unlike those dishwasher fairies that will not come at all!

I think many of exparts know how to .... But I think I will treat cels as treating other authentic arts. Like:

- when I am dealing with a cel, use gloves and clean hand very very carefully. Bending cause point chips.

- store them in dark cool dry area as much as you can.

- store them in arxivable frames of boxes (I do both for make sure it does not get bends....) after putting it in a cel bag....

etc etc I can list more. But I always try as careful as I can when I have to deal with a cel...

Fortunately all of my fav cels, Kenshin cels, are almost perfect conditions! They are amazingly great!

Also my snufkin cel which is like 20 years old is almost perfect condition!!! I really think how you treat a cel makes a biiiiiiiiiiiiig difference...... ^_^

Your Kenshin cels are astonishing!! wow.

I agree, if you keep the cels in good conditions and treat them very carefully you can avoid the pain lost. I have cels that are about 30 years old and they're in perfect conditions.
