Is paint lost avoidable?
Your Kenshin cels are astonishing!! wow.
Thank you ^_^
I see.
Most of my cel comes in cel bags, but I tend to through the bags away sicne its 2nd hand lol.
I store all cels in my muji folder.
Soon I will buy new cel bags then store them all in sticky Muji photo albums.
If paint lost is avoidable, I think I would get a couple reproduction cels since repro cels are nearest to paint perfection out there in market, I believe some pan cel X 1999 would be in good condition since many collector tends to treasure that series pretty well.

But believe me.... Some of old cels are really perfect condtions! I mean this is incredable! I truely appreciate someone took very very care of the cels when I see them ^_^ (like my snufkin cel ^_^)
Also using a cel bag is to prevent a cal to stick to something. This is a great way to prevent is.... (if it sticks to something then it might cause paint chips when someone tries to remove sticks....).
When you tuoch a cel I usually use gloves b/c if you put hand oils in a cel it is very or almost impossible to take them off (and long run this is not good for a cel....).
I do think if you are very careful you can keep a cel for a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time ^_^
Sorta on topic...
The OP was asking about losing paint on a cel on display.
I was thinking, why not just make a nice color copy of the cel and display that? You get the best of both worlds: you can archive the cel in your time-proof bunker and still get to look at it (sorta). You also don't need to spend big bucks on the frame with special glass, you can get a $10ish cheap but nice looking one. I prefer the 'float' frames, the ones that are two pieces of glass that clip around the edges.
Another advantage of a copy, to make the cel fit the frame (rather than a custom fram) you can trim the cel (copy) and not cry.
Just a thought.
Er......
Ok? So for protecting these cels I cant use normal frames? I must spend a fortune on so called 'Protective frame'?
Well ok.. I might be getting a oversized Kamui soon, so what kinda frame will I need?
