Storing alot of cels
Hi, I just bought from another collector a very large number of extra cels they had around (350 cels!) and I'm looking for some advice on how/where to store them. The rest of my collection has been a managable enough size to keep in scrapbook binders or framed but with this large of an addition those options don't seem reasonable at the very least in the short-medium term. Any advice would be appreciated.

I suggest storing them in big stacks all over your house.
What? Thats not an option? You need the floor space?
Just buy some cheap Itoya portfolios - you can put your 350 cels in 8 $10 portfolios assuming they are normal sized - thats what most people do.
Or be like Roy- store his cels in four trailers!
With that many cels, maybe you can put them in a cel book (you'll need quite a few) and store the books in a file cabinet or box (standing up) until you have a more permanent place.
I store the bulk cels in museum boxes with unbuffered tissue paper between each cel, you can get the boxes at almost any art supply store, or online

I am hoping the tissue paper is between bags, and not touching the cels, because that is a great way to ruin cels, particularly ones with paint/linework on the front.
Nothing like trying to save a hanken by laboriously picking out little bits of tissue paper that has merged with the linework. Ask me how I know.
