UV Protection for your home = wall art

I saw this site. How helpful, I can't say, but very interesting if true. Those of you who hang your cels up and fear those awesome UV rays may have some extra protection with this UV film.

Of
course, I know that some of you have UV glass already on some of your framed cels and keep them out of direct sun light, but it gets expensive after a while if you want to put up a gang of cels and pay for the glass too.

This may be a cheaper route?

Wow! Too bad they don't sell that in a roll like tinfoil!

I second that Leah. Mind you, if it did come in a simple roll the DIY effects might look like the back of a blacked-out electrician's van! heh

This stuff does come in roll form. You can get it at some wal-marts and at home depot and I think it is at lowes also.
There is a few companys that make it so the name maybe different but the UV is still %99 blockage of UV light, And it comes in clear or darker tints and it comes in wide rolls also for big windows.
I have this on my windows and it works very well there is no fading of anything in my house and the film helps to keep broken glass from falling as it keeps the glass in one peace if something hits it.
Also the film helps keep some of the heat out of the house and my electric bill is lower because the AC does not have to work as hard to cool my house.
Check it out it is worth the cost to install just for the electric savings the UV protection is a bonus!

All our windows and doors are covered in this UV blockout film. My mom hates the CA heat, we bought out all they had in Home Depot and pasted away.

It cuts out so much heat, which is good since I have the hottest room in the house, and my cels and dolls appreciate it.
