UV Protection for your home = wall art

I have a question though. Is a UV glass absolutely necessary to frame a cel? What if I put it in a area such as a hallway that isn't truly exposed to the sun or heat from a lamp?

No, not absolutely necessary, but my Tamahome cel that I framed without UV glass, but kept in fairly darkened areas of house and work, has shown some line fading over two years.

I now pull them (I have two) off the wall every now and then to give them a rest, before hanging them back up again. (Can't be without my eye candy for too long!) ~_^
