Incredible shrinking gallery.
As one who works for a Mercedes Benz dealer. I can attest that they are considered in Europe the same way Chevrolets are here. Most of the Trucks & Taxi's are Mercedes Diesels and in the middle east when a car bomb goes off it's most likely a MB as well as most of the cars damaged from the blast are also.
If I buy the parts through Ford, I'll get pinched. I'll see what they say though, since I am a customer and I'd love to keep it under warranty.
Some Ford dealerships sell aftermarket parts for a rather decent price. I have had no problems in getting parts from
http://www.gefracing.com/ for my 01 GT. The catch is that for a slightly modified car, some dealers may play void the warranty game if you try to make a warranty claim. It's hit or miss luck getting a dealership that doesn't mind a slightly modified car.

Sound like a beautiful car. I recommend looking at putting two dark blue "GT" racing stripes down the middle of your car. There is a mineral gray 05 mustang where I work that has these stripes, and it's an unbelievable good look for the car.
Thanks for the post fenris and link!
I just came back to the USA not too long ago, and I am still adjusting after 4 months, but guess a lot of people really still like Mustangs..I especially admire the early model late "60's-early 70's" Fastbacks, and Boss Mustang styles,, the current '05 GT "Legend" follows those retro-lines. For me, that was a brilliant idea and the best thing Ford has ever done in the new millennium with their new line of cars IMO. I had been pining for one for soooo long, even before anime.. I loved cars. Hot wheels, radio-controlled, track cars, but most of all I liked to build them.
I was a car model-builder and collector. As a matter of fact I was a serious car model builder at the tender age of 7..I entered contests, and stayed up all night building and researching on all of the latest techniques and supplies. It was fun! I think I got "high" a bit on the glue fumes too.. dangerous stuff! j/k
So, actually that was my first "real" collection and my first "dream" toys. That is until our big German shepards got into the garage one day!! 0-O'
I had a neighbor in Japan that had a '69 Boss Mustang in primo condition, it was a terrible tease..And it brought back memories all the time. I thought about the American muscle car from that era.. --constantly--. My best friends here all own old rebuilt and pristine restored American classics...
Only if Camaro would have done the same retro-styling with their logo car..Instead it seems they threw all of their eggs into the real "logo" car the Corvette..=( Oh well, I like those too.. but hard to convince my spouse of a real two seater.. (shhh.. I know the Mustang might as well be one..but my Jedi mind tricks are still working!)
A story for another day.. I was an original Camaro "muscle-car" SS owner, but.. I'll let it rest..
And to the anime community, sorry for being so OT with this thread, it didn't start out that way..
But, it is perhaps a farewell thread to my gallery, so I hope that I didn't over-indulge you with the OT's comments and enthusiasm.

Cel collecting is about holding out for the exact thing that you want and paying any price to get it. So, in a sense, this thread isn't all that off topic. It isn't often that you get to make a dream come true. I think it's awesome that your cels are helping to make your dream car a reality. It is one sweet ride(I've test driven the '05 model). It is so easy to play with the engine and get it up to 350-400hp too. Congrats, once again.
