Incredible shrinking gallery.
I decided to play along a bit more, just for fun .. =)

.....But just a stock Mustang 2005 GT for now is soooo much fun to drive.. Okay, if I get an extra 4 grand maybe a supercharger =)..
I'm disappointed. The Ice Cream Van would have been better :( *heh*

Like Jason, I'm not into vehicles either but I do like the look of many of the sporty Japanese ones- Mitsubishi, Subaru, Honda, Toyota etc. I like the fact that many of them are understated and don't look too flash but have it all under the bonnet.
But what do I know? I drive a little 954cc, 17-year old Peugeot which, in England, is considered a museum piece ^__^

=).. No white vans for me yet, only the padded version would you see me in.

But, at least you have an "original"...

The only thing that I've seen in my 12 years of Japan are that their cars are almost the same thing, packaged only a bit differently. I've had many of the cars noted. It gets boring after a while.

Funny thing.. If I drive an American or European car in Japan, it is so much more admired by Japanese for their "character" than a Lexus (Toyota), Honda, or "Infiniti" (Nissan), would.

Californians like Honda's a lot, but in Japan, they're "seen" as a second rate car. Toyota rules the road in Japan. Nissan is on its way back from disaster over there, Mitsubishi is in absolute disaster and a hole now, since a huge scandal has come out regarding their entire trucking divison selling defective vehicles. It happened 2 years ago and many people have died because of bad parts (covered up!). Montero (Pajero in Japan) have plummeted, however Subaru is doing just fine.

That reminds me. I have a picture of Amsterdam where all the taxis are reasonably late model Mercedes Benz. American cars are somewhat unusual there as well. Mostly European brands we don't see much of in the states.

I still remember being on a bike tour in Munich where the tour guide suddenly stopped in mid sentence and pointed at a car behind us. It was a big Chevy Tahoe or some monster-class SUV rolling by. He then told us that those things likely cost $20k more over the high markup that's already on them because they simply don't sell things that suck down that much gas and take up that many parking spaces there. (We supposed that it was either some rich business person or an American diplomat.)

Maybe Mitsubishi needs more clever commercials there like we have. =/
