autographed cels
Okay, gotcha. I'll keep in mind a preference; Kazuki Akane, Akihiko Inari, Sh?ji Kawamori or Minami Takayama, if they ever come into town, I'll try and get it direct from them. Thanks for the advice!
If you are fortunate enough to get a creator in front of your face and to sign a cel, just having an extra sheet of acetate won't suffice IMO. You can do better-- go all out .. Why?
Because--I'd suggest having a blank sign/sketch board with you, some great colored pens or pencils in your backpack (along with your well rehearsed grovel speech or stand up routine) and and beg them for a character sketch instead.
Take complete advantage of the moment =)
You'd be happy that you did.
Stroke their ego for a small piece of original art?
I wonder if anyone's ever asked them to sign bodyparts... ?
I wonder, how about the voices of the people? You all are talking about the artist, but how about the voice that helped them to be brought to life?
hmm, well i suppose that since the purpose of a production cel is to be photographed for use in a film or series, etc, then yes it *does* damage the cel. but, since they are collectibles and not being used for their original purpose any more, i'd say why not? and congrats to anyone who can even get an autograph! cool! ^_^
