Heh. Seems I only post when I want something, or have an idea. Sorry! :) It's nothing personal, really! I just don't ''do'' blogs. :)
Anyways, I was looking at my main page, and was kinda... wanting to even it out some.. I mean, with the news items under the "main gallery text", and then the series list on the right, my main page is very lopsided.
So, I started thinking, "Hey! I'd like my news under my series!", but then remembered that it couldn't be changed..
So THEN I started thinking.. "Okay.. how can we do this.."
And THEN I got a big cookie, and started munching away.
Several cookie crumbs later, I figured why not take a step up in the main page design? Turn the "News", "Series List", "Gallery Contents" into some kind of keyword/code, that when the server intercepts the page, it inserts the proper stuff into that section..
Confused?
Okay.. Let's say I want my "Gallery Contents" at the bottom, UNDER my "Series List". I'd go in, edit the HTML for my main page, and put something like..:
{Some text here about the gallery...}
@@SeriesList
@@GalleryContents
(HTML codes mangled so that the board doesn't filter them out..) So, instead of being sectioned, the page would load up with the main text across the whole alotted page, with a line break, then the gallery list, another line, and the contents. (With "@@SeriesList" translating to the small table that holds the series/count/links, and "@@GalleryContents" being the small section that holds the other links..)
Of course, the basic "keep everything the same" would still hold true, as the only 'text' we're coding would be, say, within the site's main table cel, with the rating and Rubberslug links and such still at the bottom.
Probably more work than it's worth, but.. hey. :)
Cheers!
Fox.

Yeah, I wanted something like this too. It should be in the slightly outdated official feature list but I'm not sure I put it in there.
The idea is eventual integration of personal gallery resources with everything on the site, especially forums and weblogs.
It sure would be nice to type a little @@updated or something and have Rubberslug post your latest uploaded cels inside a forum post. Or stuff like that.
Rubberslug is on hold at the moment while I set up some business stuff in preparation for merchandise sales, though. If only I had a programming monkey, and art monkey, and a lawyer/accountant monkey...
