Question re: selling

WoW!,JN..err.,What have you been up to in your laboratory? Mixing chemicals, eh? The mild mannered admin.(gulps down the potion!) Shazam! Poof! Presto! Snap!...(*stopped typing for a second.. chuckling too hard*..hold on,..okay..whew!, almost cracked a rib.)

Just joking,...BUT, All puns aside,...

I am reading you 20/20. A bunch of nice ideas. I like the idea of seeing this from an analytical perspective for the collectors benefit. Maybe you or someone, could prepare a "survey" to measure the "demographic sales potential" of the collectors from RS. I am sure that sellers would be interested; in regards to collectors buying patterns, incomes, ages, collectiong trends in anime, production cels, hankens, drawings, reproductions, locations, payment methods used,etc. Has there been any marketing analysis going on at all anyway?

Also, the simple but powerful idea of collecting and compiling a "massive" wishlist collected from every individual wish-list here, would be an awesome display in itself; literally a huge "grocery-list" of cels, giving "sellers" some insight and motivation to pay attention to what the customer wants. (See Ichiban Anime's new site)

The thing is that many dealers are also really mega-collectors, just with more connections to product and money. Sometimes there is no clear distinction between the two, (except for their sales fronts) because they buy very high-end cels for their own "private collections" by using their business margins selling lower end cels at higher margins to pay for them. Whether they have any control over their own supply or inventory is the question.

Anyway, making some distinction if possible for once would be a good idea.

I could help to some extent on this side of the Pacific, if you like a hand or two once you get things settled in your "plan".

Instead of selling on rubberslug, animanga auctions are a free option. This server is probably already under enough stress, as it is ^^;

E, you and are are both apparently not paying attention... someone already mentioned animanga in this thread, yet I completely missed it ^^;
