*sigh*...

I wish I was going this year...I'm hoping to go to a con next year...I really like Expo...Despite the fact it's waaaaay too crowded.

Just to clarify, but this isn't really a Rubberslug specific thing. Heck, I'm bringing 3-6 "offline" friends who have nothing to do with cel collecting, much less this site. When it gets closer to game time we'll throw out an invite to our friends from the other cel boards/communities. I just figured I'd ask you all first.

I officially declare possible veto over the hotel bar. Sorry. It's actually a pretty good idea... except that hotel bars are creepy. At least we could keep the costumes there. Maybe if we end up with like 30+ people. I was thinking it would be maybe 15-20 and we could pack into 5-6 cars.

Are there any big after hours parties at Anime Expo? I mean, there's an awful lot of college kids who go. We cel collectors seem to have a pretty decent male/female parity as well.

As for what day, I'm thinking Saturday. Sunday morning my group and I will likely drive up the coast to SF. Ideally, the real cel collecting panel will be on Friday or Saturday during the day so we have a chance to arrange transportation.

Sigh... no one wants to chill at that super-cool anime con dance? I'm voting for that right now. You think they'd let us take booze, snacks, a big picnic blanket, a dozen traffic cones, and set up shop right in the middle of the exhibit hall?

Here is an idea. I was thinking about personalizing a t-shirt with the start-up page of my gallery in the back and name of the gallery in the front. If everybody that attends the expo or the get-together makes a shirt of their gallery all the rubberslug members would be able to recognize eachother.
I am pretty sure everybody is familiar with the iron-on sheets they have at any craft store. All you do is put the sheet in the printer and print out whatever you want and iron it onto the shirt.
If everybody had the same format on their shirts they would look more official and easier to spot.
