Cel books for large size cels and pans?
If there are any fellow NJ or NYers here at the forums maybe you know of a place nearby to purchase them at. I live in NJ but am still not familiar with the area (I've only been here a few months). I have traveled via bus (no car) to Manhattan to visit China Town. There is an awesome art store located there. Since I don't really know any stores here in NJ or even how to get to them, this may be my only other option. Or does anyone have a favorite online site recommendation for purchasing the books at?
I also want to ask, which is prefered by everyone, cel storage in a box or storage in a book?
Thanks for the help everybody!

Hi Christina,
If you're looking for shops, my first port of call would be the Yellow Pages/phone directory.
When I was in the US going around California/Arizona I was continually looking through these directories for Comic Shops and the like. Found some good ones too ;)
There are several online companies that have these larger books. Again, you're fortunate being in the US because they are very cheap as is shipping (I get stung for such costs because I'm from the UK). You could try

http://www.archivalusa.com/profolios.html ,
http://www.artstuff.net/itoya_art_size_profolios.htm ,
There are plenty of others so shop around for the best prices by with a Search Engine- I use "Itoya portfolios folders" in the search field.
Generally I think you can't go wrong with storing your cels in acid-free display folders, such as Itoya brand. Cel boxes are good if you have a sequence of cels or too many for a folder which don't need to be viewed often.
If you have large cels to store, it may be best to place them in a large cel bag first. You can find large bags for sale on some websites- view E's Link Page for some good tips:

All the best, Krafty
I always store my cels in an Itoya portfolio... usually hanging on a rack. The new 24"x17" portfolio's are great for pan/oversized cels!
