Anime Expo short film contest

A few weeks ago someone mentioned that they're helping plan Anime Expo.

Does anyone know what happened to the short film contest advertised on the home page for a few weeks? It seems to be gone now. I'm curious. (Maybe they realized they'd most likely get a pile of crappy Flash movies?)
