Rubberslug Flyers

There is going to be a cel panel. That would be a place to hand out fliers, though I think most ppl there are already Rubberslug denizens!

Maybe we can get cel dealers to donate a corner of their table for our fliers? Actually, any dealer who's willing would be great!

Most of the cel dealers I know would be ok with allowing a flyer. Most would consider it a help in selling for if someone has a place they can show off what they buy they might consider buying more or better cels to show off.

The San Diego Comic-con also has a freebee table that flyers can be placed that every one who enters must walk by.

I figure nothing gets an anime fan's attention faster than inuyasha these days.

Wow, I'm flattered that there's this quirky self-promotion streak that seems to have run wild while I wasn't paying close attention. That's pretty cool, Zag + Joe.

The weird thing is that it's probably true that anyone who wants a website to host cels with us probably already has one. If I was looking to pick up a huge number of new members (actually pretty far from the top priority right now), I'd actually be more interested in getting non-anime cel collectors to share some stuff with us. Very few collectors of American animation seem to know we exist. The other interesting audience would be non-English speaking audiences... but that would require a site in a few different languages, Japanese being first on the list.

I'm not sure that flyers are even the right direction to go at the moment... but if we do flyers and we don't do them ourselves, maybe we can have a flyer design contest? And unlike that other mysterious disappearing contest -- which I swear, I will find our who won someday and if they still remember playing, I'll give them their figurines -- the prize for this one is obvious. Naturally, I wouldn't ask anyone to pay as that's what sponsorship money is for.... but I do appreciate the offer.

So... um.... by May we'll decide if flyers in general are cool or not. Then probably a contest voted by site members, so everyone can have a chance to play. Might just run off a few of the top vote-getters and mix them all up into one flyer pile.
