Have eBay sellers lost their minds?!

I was browsing the new entries of "anime cel"
wordsearch on eBay. What are these sellers
thinking? Tons of cels that are over priced by
$100 or more! Especially the ones that I've seen
listed before at a MUCH lower price, or in a shop
for much lower.
Was it just the specail $.15 listing cost that
made everyone insane? Good gracious. XP Another
reason to avoid buying on eBay.

I was surprised myself when I was looking around
earlier. I think the biggest surprise for me was
the "Blue Gender" cels that they have a BIN price
between $40-80...

So far as I know, there are only 3 people who
collect cels from the series. Yann, Cel Hunter J
and myself. I know that none of us would pay that
much for those cels. The quality of these cels
don't justify those prices. I mean if I was going
to pay $60 for a BG cel, I'd buy another from Yann...

I also got a good laugh at the "Rurouni Kenshin"
auctions. There is nothing like asking $5000 for
8 cels. At least I think it is 8 cels. I can't really tell from the description...

I was only surprised to see so many "good" cels out there. I mean from KORG, Evangelion, Lodoss, GUNNM, Kiki's, Nad, and so on... It looks like a "Who's who" list out there. And many of those are not at bad prices... Those are classic anime.

If you consider that a few years ago, any decent Eva cel would run you into a few thousand dollars and then some.. looking at those prices-- looks amazing to those Rip Van Winkles out there that haven't turned on their computers since 2002.

Given todays demand,,,those might be high, but if I were a betting man..hmmm. If I looked at the potential long term value.. =)

You have to understand that the cel market is basically at rock bottom right now, and has been for at least a year.. since the unset panic of CG, bad economy, war, and lack of supply..

If the market ever rebounds, like most do eventually, I couldn't imagine that you go wrong, unless the whole ship sinks and everyone with a Lodoss cel along with it. Then everyone goes in down with the ship.. But I don't think so, but I am known for my optimism. And OPINIONs (wink*)

I thought all EVA cels were fake?
Didn't the director go nuts and burn the whole shabang?

Plus the series' you mention
"KORG, Evangelion, Lodoss, GUNNM, Kiki's, Nad, and so on.." are all of absolutely no interest to me, so I see them as overpriced if they are $10. >_<
