Deleting / Editing Wishlist SERIES list.
So, I was updating my wishlist, and after double checking, realized I mis-spelled a series name.
I tried a couple of different things, but the only way of fixing it seemed to be going [New Series] and spelling it correctly, then relisting the wishes.
But that leaves the mis-spelling still on the drop-down list of Series names. How can I get rid of it, and possibly keep from doing this in the future??
One of those bugs I never fixed because I'm in the process of scrapping that entire system and copy everyone's gallery to the new system. In the meantime, e-mail me the misspelled name of the series and i'll get rid of it for you.
I think there is a way for a collector to take care of this himself (though it's a bit of a pain).
I cleared out some empty series from my drop down menu by adding a "cel" I called "test" (you don't need to add an image, just the title. I used "test" so I knew it wasn't a real cel) and then using the Manage Artwork feature to first delete the test entry, then kill it from the trash and then finally to delete the series.
The delete series feature is a checkbox in the series information panel. Once the series is empty, check it and hit the Update Series Information button. A series can only be deleted if both the live and the trash entries are empty. The reason for adding the "test" cel entry in the first place is to gain access to the series on the Manage Artwork screen.
I hope this helps!
Thanks, but I don't think I did it right, or else that doesn't work in the "wishlist" area.
Thanks Noisy, will do.
I have almost the same problem. When I was adding new cels, I typed in the new series name in the text box. Then when I added other cels to the same series, I forgot to select it from the drop down menu because for some reason it was still written out in the text box. As a result, I have multiple copies of the same series in the drop down menu, even though they're only listed once in the Manage Artwork section. ^^;
