evolving feature galleries

I think it would be cool to have a single feature gallery each day, week, whatever. Also, rather than just have a gallery featured when it's submitted, there should be some kind of judging for the site of the day, week, whatever. Judges probably should be moderators.
This would turn it into more of a contest or a real feature and might garner more interest in the site by current site members. *Tell us why your site's cool in 500 words or less*
I'd suggest changing the featured site no more than once a week in the interest of keeping the mods somewhat sane.
Oh yeah, I haven't seen my site up as a featured gallery in some time :P

- 1 month
- 3 months
- 6 months
- 12 months

If there's some sort of consensus we can come to, then I can make the change pretty fast. Had a RL project restart last week so I haven't had much time to mess with the site, but I should have plenty of time this weekend.

Unlike presidential races in certain countries, your one vote does count. Features older than three months will no longer display.

Hope this works out for everyone. Possibly sometime in the future we'll find a good way to set it so that a feature gallery gets reset only once per day. We'll keep those suggestions in mind, Zerospace, if we have time to take another look at upgrading the feature galleries portion of the site at a later date.
