Images loading very slow

I have a small problem browsing galleries which is that images latey take ages to load or don't load at all. Thumbnails and site graphics are no problem, but cel images just won't load.
Or is it just me?

Seems okay to me, but it's possible that the new background gallery is swamping our limited bandwidth. It's a long story, but the bandwidth going to this site isn't a really large number.

If the background gallery becomes a problem, I can restrict it to members only, or members that are older than a few weeks to prevent people from simply registering for an account to get around it.

I'll try to look at the numbers sometime this week. I'm a little behind on Rubberslug stuff, but I haven't forgotten about the current to-do list.

I have the same problem. The thumb and the image divided in 4 parts work smoothly but when I try to click again for the real sized cel it loads very slowly and often just stop loading completely.

I'm having a problem viewing the large images as well, including in my own gallery. One difference is that on my machines the large image page doesn't even try to load. No little red x in a box or chuggin' grey status bar...nothin'. :( I thought for a moment the feature had been done away with.

Perhaps I should re-upload my large images.
