Now that I've won
My prize favorite ?Gunnm?
I reached the high peak
Having bid like a freak
Though, I soon realize
With no small surprise
My savings diminished
To molecular size

Goofy Cel Poem II
or
My Addiction:


I'm euphoric as I
reverently free my treasure
from it's dark cell of
stiff cardboard and tape.

A small sharp blade releases
the bright smell of plastic and paint.

I hold my breath as I inspect
every inch for defects and character.
Joy expells that breath:
it is exactly as I remember!

Now, would it look better in black or brown?
Oh yeah, spent this week's food money
on this sparkly little jewel.
I can't eat it but
my eyes can drink their fill!

As my joy and I share a moment together
out of the corner of my eye online does appear
the prize I've wanted
for at least a year!

I'm tormented by desire!
What can I do?
Is there a twelve-step program
for me to go through?

I found the dream cel from my show
but had nowhere near the dough.
Flipped the couch upside down
and did rise with a frown
only managed to find a cheeto.

Had begun a year ago,
collecting cels from shows I know,
Would not spend over $50 bucks,
now I've even sold my pants.
Spent so much cash in the past 2 years,
money sucked out to the point of tears.
Now I've got more & it takes time to count,
cels all over the house, such a big amount.
It's not as large as other have here,
but soon over 100 cels my collection will near..

roses are red
violets are blue
this poem is about cel collecting
it doesn't rhyme
