Mailing list

it's possible to send a 'update information' to a personnal mailing list when we update our gallery ?

Ah, that reminded me. There isn't a mailing list (at least not yet) but there's that pesky RS favorites link that I never turned on. I'll finish up the coding for that sometime this weekend and activate it.

It basically lets you put in all your favorite galleries then it makes a customized "updated galleries" list inside your gallery. (Sorta like the one you see on the gallery directory on this site.)

Is that cool or would all of you out there in Rubberslug land prefer an actual e-mail contact list?

Oh cool!

Now I can free up some space and get rid of the links I made of my favorite Rs galleries on the Rs links page. Will this list also be viewable to outside people who visit my gallery? Like the one I made?

As
for the email question, I check out Rs almost everyday, so having Rs email me when a gallery updates would be a waste of time or maybe even spam. lol just my opinion ~_^

I'm a little behind on this. I got called up for work on Friday and it'll probably help me finish paying off the server so I can't pass it up. I may be a little quiet for the next week or so.

To answer your question, yes. It'll look more or less like that page you have set up.

You'll have three fields:

- Gallery Short Name (xxx in xxx.rubberslug.com)
- Use Gallery Description (yes/no, determines if you want to use the same gallery description that is used on the home page when this member updates)
- Description (lets you add a few things of your own, why you like the site, etc.)

You can also rename the page and put galleries into different catagories, just like the links section.

It will show up as a new section in your gallery. It will probably have some kind of interactivity, that is, being able to sort by catagory or by last updated date. Think of it as your own personal "cel.org keep track" page.
