beyond the clouds question

Scroll to the very bottom and download the newer trailers for Beyond the Clouds ("Kumo no Mukou"). After watching, compare to the trailer released last year.

Am I alone in my film geekdom in being very, very annoyed about the apparent change in direction from the first trailer to these? Music BUTCHERED by replacing live strings with 1980s synth (!!!), sloppy pimping of voice actors/actresses, sloppy pimping of Makoto Shinkai, horrible editing (esp trailer #2), reshot stuff from trailer 1 to trailer 2/3 looks rushed/off-model, etc. etc. etc.

Awful. Awful. Awful. Either Shinkai has gone blind and deaf or someone else is calling the shots.
