Make sure your e-mail is correct!

Howdy gang,

We now require accurate e-mail addresses.

We needed to make some changes to our lazy user registration system in preparation for the upcoming sales site. A login will be required to enter a "hold queue" for a cel you want to buy from the sales site, and naturally you will be required to have a real contact e-mail address for this. Also, it makes things tons easier for admins if for some reason a site needs to be temporarily closed for one reason or another.

How does it work?

The next time you log in, you will be taken to a page that will send an e-mail to the address you have on file. This message will contain a big long link. Click on it. You're done.

E-mail not correct? Don't worry, as long as you log in correctly, you can change you e-mail from the Verify E-mail page you get taken to. Simply enter your new address in the blank and click "Submit" and another e-mail will be sent your way.

Remember that we do not, and will not ever, divulge your e-mail address to anyone. I've sent out a grand total of one mass e-mail in 3 years, and that was to sponsors to ask if it was okay if I designated them as sponsors in public. So, you're safe on that end.

*****************

IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS, E-MAIL ME RIGHT AWAY! I'd hate for someone to be locked out from their site because I did something boneheaded. I tested this pretty heavily, but I'm just one guy.

******************

Cheers. This will make us... stronger.

Some people are getting multiple e-mails. This is okay and won't hurt anything. It happens every time you log in if you don't click on the mail in your box before you're verified. It's a surefire way to make sure that you can always send yourself another e-mail.

Minor problem fixed: If you had a space or an unusual character in your login name or password, verification may have been failing. Try again. It should work this time. Let me know if it doesn't. Thanks.

Yes, your registration system is not sending verification emails due to a bug. The only way I'm contacting you now is because someone was kind enough to help me via a temporary email address. New members can't get on because of this bug. Also your Rubberslug shop is still down.
