Cannot create NEW THUMBNAILS

I have this creepy feeling that our new login system just needs people to clean their browser cache or simply restart their browsers probably just once. Visually it looks identical to the previous system but it's all brand new and subject to lots of weird issues.

Having problems making thumbnails? Log out and log back in. It will fix it.

Okay, here's the long explanation. Basically, there are two systems running on Rubberslug right now. When you're working with the links module or the shared background gallery, or making thumbnails, you're using the new system (call this 2.0). When you're doing anything else (like lurking in the forum) you're using the old system (call this 1.0).

When you log in, you're logged into both RS 1.0 and RS 2.0. Here's the catch. If you don't do anything that uses the new system for about 20 minutes or so, RS will log you out automatically. However, you will still *appear* to be logged in to both systems. In reality, you're only logged into the 1.0 system.

For security, the thumbnail maker checks your identity. If you are logged off, you look like nobody. Nobodies get kicked back to the default member page. That's why this happens if you sit around logged in for a while and then you try to make a thumbnail. So, to fix this, log out and log back in.
