Why all the 500 internal server errors?

Hi. Been trying to update my gallery, the first time in many, many months. I keep getting those white-page "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error" pages. Sometimes hitting the refresh button lets me know that my managing-artwork or gallery modification has indeed worked, but after putting up a bunch of pictures, I'm now hitting the wall o' white after putting in the description, and refreshing isn't helping. I guess I'll quit for the night, but is this a regular problem?

I haven't seen that error since they switched servers a few months ago. I updated a bunch of cels today as well and didn't have any problems...was it just all of the sudden?

It's a known issue that this sometimes happens although I have not sat down and figured out exactly why.

E-mail me if you still have problems after tonight. Sometimes freaky things happen. I can't guarantee that this code is heavily tested for those 1 in a 1000 errors. (It's closer to 1 in 250 or 300, never have managed to track that bug down but I see the results of it in the logs all the time.)

If you do get it though, it seems as though you'll keep getting it over and over I notice (again, from reading logs)

Crashing while trying to upload a cel is the cause of the phantom items that you can't ever seem to delete, btw. At least I have a script to take care of that part. I'll run it right now, but e-mail me if the problem persists and I'll take a closer look and see exactly what you're doing. As far as I can tell though, you can put the same info in tomorrow and it'll work. (Which is why it's hard to track down.)

Just tried to update with another picture (the same one at which I had to stop last night) and again, I'm getting the same roadblock. It won't go past the first screen (where info is entered). Tried refreshing, but no good. Had already cleared my cache this morning. Even tried shutting off my Norton Security just in case that was it, but no good.

I'll try again after a "rest". It worked on and off last night.
