Anime Conventions in Japan

I was wondering if it's worth it to go to conventions in Japan to buy cels? I only collect cels from the 1980's and it's harder and harder to find cels here in the States. I've had some luck in the past even finding cels from Voltron and Transformers on Yahoo Japan, so I figured a trip to Japan might be in order, after all, that's where the animation on all my favorite cartoons was done.

Even if you don't hit the convention circuit in Japan you might as well go the Mandarake store route. You may just find those elusive cels there.

I was thinking of going to Wonderfest Japan. It seems to be a place a lot of cel dealers go to purchase cels to resell in the States. Anyone know if it's worth going to the one in the summer? Or is the winter one the better convention?

Has anyone found any places in japan who sell
cels? Thundercats, Voltron....
