Desperately needed new feature

I had it working so you couldn't do that, actually, but I have to fix that part this weekend. If the image is referenced from a site outside rubberslug then it won't come up. I could make it print a big yellow smiley face instead. Ha.

Muhaha! One step ahead of you, Watson.

Don't forget about screen capture... it is pretty easy for someone to steal pretty much anything they see. The print screen button is too convient...

Xelloss: With screen capture they would have to do some editing. Very little, though. But I doubt they would want to go through hundreds of images this way. ;) And that's for those who would even think of it. :p

Screencap is always going to be a problem no matter what you do. The point is just to slow people down to the point where it's unappealing to steal wholesale. I know of one way that I can beat a screen capture as well, but it would take a lot of programming.

It would amount to finding a way to turn every picture into a one-frame quicktime or MPG movie and then looping the movie on your webpage. If you try screencapping it, you should just get a big black box because of some technical things.

That, however, is way too much trouble and eats way too much server time. You could always just take a screencap of the signal coming out of your video card and crop that anyway.
