Main Images Are Slowly Disappearing from Gallery

Many of the main images in my gallery are being replaced with an 'item image' tag even though they still appear within the back-end -Manage Exhibits- section.

I guess my question is has RS deteriorated to the point that it can't maintain images that are hyperlinked to other sites (without permission) and have been tagged with complaints of copyright notices - or is this just a server thing?

I've also noticed the problem throughout the 'Galleries' pages, and in the series tags ( http://www.rubberslug.com/gallery/tag/Sailor-Moon/ ). Although, the 'item image' text is a link to the image in my gallery, and most others. Also, the smaller broken images still link correctly.

I think this might be because I have "Password Protect Large Item Images" and "Password Protect Sketches" set to "No" in my Gallery Settings. It is still not correct. But, at least visitors can still click on your items and see something.

It also only seems to affect uploads of an older vintage, as recent updates, like my Giant Gorg, work fine.

Well, now all images seem to be back up and showing properly in both of our galleries, so all good I guess...

Oh, thank God. For a moment I thought I was going to have to identify and re-upload hundreds of images. :)

I'm guessing it was a server maintenance thing - I actually think I've seen it before (I believe during a server changeover) and had just waited it out. Btw - love and often visit your gallery Chris.
