Deputy Services going downhill
Hi fellow collectors,
I can't tell if its just a shift in the economies (Japanese Yen going up compared to US Dollar), but do the standard deputy services seem to be getting a little sketchy lately?
For example: I've been loyal to japamart for a few years now and had very positive experiences, but I just recently noticed a $10 increase for international shipping as well as a pretty big difference in their reported Yen to USD vs. Google's reports (we're talking about 6%.. which can really add!)
I had used Celga once in the past (and was pleased with their service), but on checking out their site a few minutes ago, I see large annoying ads, out of date banners (happy new year 2015) and, worst of all, exchange rate differences worse than japamart (close to a 10% difference from what Google says)
Anyone else noticing this lately as well or am I missing something? Any recommended services?
I use Buyee for their search. Japan Post did raise their prices this summer which may explain some of it.
JapanPost increased their internal shipping prices this year... Buyee posted something on their website. That might be part of it.
