Hiya. Can you post up what you have for sale here? Well I'm gonna do that right now. If I'm not supposed to then please tell me and I won't do it again ^^

I am no longer collecting CCS cels so I decided to sell this movie two cels of Sakura and Shaoran dancing together:

That was not cool.

It is pretty obvious that sales are not allowed here. Now, your gallery is closed-- Oops!, now how did that happen?

Asking first, goes a long way.

While I think that using the gallery itself as a sales site is clearly forbidden, I wonder if this falls into the same category. It seems normal for people to post on message boards that they are interested in offers on certain cels, and certainly Animanga regularly posts such notices, giving Rubberslug gallery items as references. So long as the gallery itself does not post prices or solicit business, then it seems OK.

While I don't deny that KaibasTreasure ought to have sent the webmaster a private e-mail, rather than posting here, it doesn't seem an outrageous breach of rules. And if it were, then surely the webmaster could just delete the message and repremand the offender in private. Putting up such a message here reminds me of how the Puritans used to put people in the stocks for doing illegal things like celebrating Christmas (a notoriously Pagan holiday).

I support all actions taken by the moderators to keep this site both focused and relevant for people interested in collecting. The four moderators run this site -- voluntarily --and no new development would be possible if I had to do their job.

We purposely run as tight a ship as we can. Mean? Sometimes. Necessary? Absolutely.

In my opinion, the largest problem that will face sites of this kind and the Internet in general is a lack of relevance. Signal-to-noise ratio is the number one factor for community driven anything, a concept which is only trumped by an insane user base/sample size (i.e. - ebay, google).

That being said, we understand that selling and buying is a big part of what us collectors do. The sales issue is currently under review (E himself has been a big contributor to the discussion for this).

Until then, all someone has to do in the event of a ban is to e-mail the moderator and demonstrate a reasonable understanding of the site rules. We get so many people who don't that it's hard for us to tell the difference until someone just says something. Anything.
