Problem restoring items

Hi,

I'm trying to restore items after having them in the trash for a long time. When I restore the item, in the live view, they never show up. The gallery title shows up, but the items never show and it looks like the gallery is empty. I need to manually recreate all my items. Is there something I'm missing or does restore not work?
