Tournament director Steve Wilmot insists the Heritage will go ahead in 2011 - with or without a title sponsor.Wilmot announced on Monday that enough money has been put away to fund the PGA tournament past 2010, the last year communications giant Verizon will be its main sponsor."I can assure you we'll have an event in 2011," said Wilmot."In 2012, who knows? "Verizon Business announced last September it wanted to spread its PGA Tour involvement across several events rather than focus exclusively on the Heritage, which is played at Harbour Town Golf Links in South Carolina and will run from April 15-18 this year."Relationships must end at times," added Wilmot. "Business does change. We understand."Wilmot is currently seeking a corporation to replace Verizon, and says organizers would require around $8million from a title sponsor. And he admits finding a company willing to take on the financial burden of a PGA Tour event could prove difficult, particularly in the current economic climate. "It's a tough time out there," said Wilmot. "We're looking at all different possibilities."
