seriously... image linkers/stealers/lurkers/clickndraggers whatever we call you... lay off! ( message not directed towards RS'ers :) )

my Peach Girl, xxxHolic and Godannar sections have all sky rocketed in hits. (and i know that PG is the least popular section. now it's at the bottom of theTop 25 list)

would you consider "refreshing" gallery sections or is it too much effort? add more and better code, or no? start copyrighting your scans via photoshop?

in your gallery settings, do you have the option to not right click the picture option set up. this option makes it harder to take the picture. there is also an html option that helps keep the person from taking the picture but i dont know where to put it in to make it work.

Uhh, perhaps I've missed the boat, but since when do page/item views = image theft? Let's get the definition of hotlinking down before we go any further, since it is soooo often misused. Views aren't hotlinks -- hotlinks are direct links to images on a server, and you won't see this in your gallery statistics, since they bypass the site code entirely (which is how those 'views' are recorded -- the page does not magically know how many times your image file has been accessed -- it knows how many times the item in your gallery has been viewed, not the image file itself).

Likely what has happened is someone discovered your gallery and has posted links to the sections on a public board or somewhere that gets a lot of traffic. So people are clicking the link(s), thus your gallery gets more traffic to the sections linked.

Besides -- isn't the point of putting your gallery online so that others may enjoy it, too? It seems to me that people are looking at those sections of your gallery, and I don't think I'd be too worried about image theft as long as you've done what has already been suggested ;).

Agreed - personally, I'd be supa-dupa stoked to see a bunch of page views...means folks (lots of 'em, apparently) are appreciating your hard-earned acquisitions. :)
