erm top 6 cel spot not working???

I jsut updated, and came back a few times to the main page and noticed...my gallery is no where to been seen. dont mean to whine, but is there a bug maybe? i want to show off my single new cel! gosh im lame ^_^

strike that, a few min and refreshes have passed by and it finaly got to workin, sorry about that

Actually.. I noticed this too when I updated my gallery. It does not show up *immediatly* on the main page, like it used to. It takes a few minutes for it to make it to the front page. However it does list immediatly as updated on the recently updated 20 gallery page.

I hope this isn't a sign of a more serious problem.

wow, thats odd, i did check the 20 gallery page and mine was not listed there as well. thats why i had made this thread, i just assumed it would translate into the top 20 page as well. hm wonder why yours showed and mine didnt.

The recently updated gallery list is a huge database hit since it's just about the most popular page on this site. So, it's only generated every 15 minutes or so.

If I were really smart, I'd only generate a new "recently updated" list when someone actually updates, but I'm not very smart now am I? (I thought about this approach, but there's lots of problems with it when you consider all the details.)
