Been AFK for about 6 years

Anyone remember me? Lots of names that look familiar but its been so long.

Anyways, no time at the moment, popped on to say hello! Debating on getting back into collecting or....gasp, selling off my small collection. Update me please! I have been out of the loop big time, do cels even exsist anymore or is everything CG madness? Prices...good...cheap....skyrocketed?

Welcome back, Thrance. I don't recall us crossing paths, but we do have one common interest, the work of animator Mariko Fujita (CCS/Galaxy Angel). I'd say cels definitely exist and in my opinion have not radically gone up in price. In some areas, things have gotten more competitive, and in others the supply has dwindled.

The major game changer has been the sharp fall of the dollar against the yen, which makes everything much more expensive than the old days when 120 yen = $1.00. And, yes, I've certainly gotten more interested in CG material over the last years, as have others.

But nicely preserved, eyeworthy cels do indeed exist, and it's still a good time to be collecting, provided you have a diverse set of interests. Welcome back and happy hunting (or selling, if that turns out to be your choice).

*waves* Hey, Thrance! Has it been that long? Me too! Kinda. I've been eaten by the dolls, but occasionally get myself to update. ^_^;;
Supply has dwindled quite a bit for me - but a recent outburst of Ranma cels has gotten me back for a bit. ~_^
Prices are a little higher than they were, but still affordable. Depends on the series, I guess.

Doh! Since the first post, looks like some RL junk poped up that pretty much decided for me that I wont be getting back into collecting. Ah well.

Dang, still on the dolls Leah? Still making stained glass items as well? Hope all is well, we havent talked in eons!
