Restore gallery section search?

Is it possible to restore the gallery section search function? With search only functioning on artwork, all art that does not happen to mention the series name in the title or description in a given piece is essentially unsearchable. Tags do not improve the situation for anything that is not tagged.

It's kinda like going from Google to only having DMOZ at a series level...
