Computer generated animation with genga?
im just wondering guys,
why in some of the newer animation series
they are still using douga's and genga's
since they draw the frames/cel's instantly
in a touch screen.
any help whould be really appriciated :)

the cg animation is mainly used for elaborate actions/scenes (henshins, attack) and mainly, color fill in, for an artist's work. the genga/douga and storyboard/setti is still a foundation to produce a cg animation series.
some series may or may not even use hand painted backgrounds as well (depending on when the anime was released.) the overall use and progression of this technology keeps cost of production down for studios.
Thanks for the help ginga123 :)
