this post a new message thing layout confuses me

how can i know i am not doing a double post after i click submit? (i know i accidentally just did one. sorry.) can you make to wear i can get a confirmation message that my post was submitted if you decide to keep this layout? it might be better to keep it the way it was.

navigating through a topic is slightly difficult as well. after you click on a specific page you are basically stuck on that page to read the posts and i dont see any other way to go back besides clicking my browser's back button to get back to the thread to prep myself to click and move to the next page and/or go back to forum to completely change topics.
