Can you fix a bent cel?

Hello all, I am sure that I have just missed this topic in the past but I would be ever so grateful if someone would enlighten me as to the methods of fixing a slightly creased cel? It is not creased all the way down so that it could crack, it just looks like it sat a while in a bad position. I have tried to correct it by placing it under some flat weight but that just would not get it out. any suggestions?

have you tried adding extra flat wieght to the surface (i.e. 10k word dictionary, etc.)? i had a similar experience a few years ago and left it under the wieght for about a day or two and it seemed to help a little. I had already placed it in a cel bag and it still curled a bit; so, I added an extra book or two on top the flat surface layer, in this case, a leather folder. By day three, it seemed to be okay.

One of my favorite Ranma pans came to me completely bent in half at the corner from the studio(just years of poor storage). It took me 6 months, but I flattened the cel (protected inside a cel bag of course) and put a ton of heavy books ontop of it. Before I did, I gently waved a blowdryer on low setting over the bent corner to soften it a bit before placing it under the weight. Didnt touch it or nudge it, just left it alone for all that time. Now its flat and you can barely tell where its been bent.

This was an extreme case thou, it was completely folded/bent so it took half a year to straighten out.

Thank you for your advise! I have been trying to keep it under a massive stack of books but did not see that much of a change in the crease. Maybe I will just give it more time, I hesitate to hit it with a hair dryer for I am not really sure what damage I may cause and I know that I can cause some damage! If anyone else has had anything strange work please let me know. Thank you.
