Old cels still marked as "New"

Hi. I'm new to RS, but am having a problem.

I've just uploaded a couple of cels to my cel gallery at http://sgbozman.rubberslug.com, however previously uploaded cels are still being marked as "New".

For example, on April 30 I uploaded a cel of Dredlock to the "Vytor: The Starfire Champion" section of my gallery, while yesterday I uploaded more cels to that section, but the cel of Dredlock is still marked as "New" even though it's not the latest addition.

Is this right or is there a bug with RS? Or am I missing something in my member account to fix the problem?

I believe items uploaded stay listed as new for at least a week, so no bug involved. In a few days the "new" tag will wear off.

This doesn't appear to be the case as the old cels are still being marked "New".

This is quite annoying, to be honest. Any RS admins know what the problem is?

I'm pretty sure it's a two week time limit, not one, though birdie is correct in that it will remove itself automatically. I checked a couple other galleries that updated around that timeframe, and the 2 weeks seems to be the case.

Same thing will happen with the "Update" tag as well, which appears after you edit an item that has gone past it's "New" timeframe.

Yes, you're correct. I've noticed one of my old cels is no longer marked "New".
