Blackout Blame
All I know is that these damn things ALWAYS happen when I'm in the shower. Conspiracy, I tell you. Fortunately, there was nothing in my freezer besides 5 trays of ice cubes, one box of chocolate chip Eggos, some McCain "You're gonna regret eating these" spicy fries and whatever was left of the Caramel Vanilla Heart Godiva ice cream that followed me home that day. Everything in the fridge got chucked the next day.
See living in North Dakota does have one advantage. In the winter all you have to do is put your food in a cooler outside. Make sure that you retreive it in a few hours or it will be frozen solid. This does work I had to do this durring the winter of '97 I lost power for about 8 hours. By the way have you ever pounded in a nail with a banana at -37 degrees. Weird stuff happens when things get cold. This goes for humans as well.
Hey Pogo, next time try liquid nitro on a banana... weird stuff happens when that stuff hits ANYTHING. That stuff is great to play with. =)
Atleast the east coast didn't have the stupid energy crisis California had... now there are stupid power plants everywhere and we don't need them.

Uh...I had no idea there even WAS a black out until my parents called from Canada (they were on vacation) and frantically asked if I was allright. My Dad was shocked I had no clue what was going on. Well, I didn't have the radio on and I hadn't gotten to listen to the news so turned it on pretty quick -- to watch footage of most of NY walking home.
Flippy
Uh-huh. I get this e-mail (the next night) from Flip saying "Gee, I guess someone was using the phone at your house and you won't be on here tonight..." or something like that. Somebody had no clue. Actually, on my block the power usually goes out for a few hours at least 4 times a month. I can't say I've ever pounded a nail in with a banana, but I have pried a screw out of the wall (shut up you perverts) with a pineapple.
Maybe the liquid nitrogen would have been a better idea?
