My name is Darcy and I just joined. I would like to view some artwork up close, but it keeps saying I must provide a password to enter the private areas.
How would I obtain a password? Does some have to be done in the account?
I would appreciate some help please, but I have no idea what do.

You have to contact the curator/owner of the gallery you are trying to view. They may or may not decide to give you their passwords. Goodluck.

Yes on the gallery look for the "send feedback" link.

I think you would do wise to get to know the members around here. A lot more people might be willing to allow you to view their items if they weren't worried that you were the average image thief who wanted the password to upload their stuff on another site.

In my case, unless I know the member, I won't give them my password.
