Hi! Updating some information that appears did not migrate over to the new site and encountered a concern.

1) It appears adding html, special characters like ' (i.e. Jane's), and Japanese characters does not work.

2) It appears when entering text into the EDIT SITE TEXT has a major issue. For us NONE of the existing site text appears (gallery listing, home, wishlist, feedback, about, private area, links)! =(

This may not seem like a big issue but how can we accurate make changes to the site site (especially if there is html) when we cannot see what is already up?

For example, tried making changes to the HOME not knowing doing so would overwrite anything existing. Didn't know this would happen b/c couldn't see the existing text in the CHANGE TEXT field like we use to.

3) The icon image we have shown for our profile does not appear when looking at the FEATURE IMAGE link. This is most odd b/c shouldn't this be the same? If not is there a way to make it so we can see what is the current feature image used? This would help a lot instead of constantly reloading to see what is loaded and what is not.

4) In the Production Art Market found an ugly bug. ALL of the items we had DISCONTINUED or were NOT available we suddenly made available! We just spent the last hour changing $0 for the prices and changing each and every single one MANUALLY to unavailable for everything that was previously discontinued or removed. This is not fun to have to do this everytime we change the price for a listing. =(

So can someone like the mighty Lobster King help us? Thank you!

Cheers! =)

I flagged the "Edit Site Text" issue in another thread. That is a major drawback to the new platform and deserves to be fixed.

It's also annoying that in many items the quotation marks and apostrophes are no longer supported, so that I now find strings of text like this:

This adventure, titled ?Make it come true! Momoko?s love,? features Hiro, the (err...) hero of an action adventure show called ?Miracle Fighting Ace,? a variation on the ?Mighty Morphin? Power Rangers? theme.

I'm not looking forward to going through more than a thousand items and manually correcting each quote or apostrophe.

Overall, threads like the ones posted make it clear that if the site is to be paid for by subscription (a reasonable idea IMHO) then some kind of timely technical support is going to be a must. Otherwise inconveniences such as these are going to make the new RS less attractive than the old one we at least had learned how to operate.

Hey Sensei,

That was one of the surprises I found in October at around the same time a lot of the section/series titles disappeared.

It happened to me twice. All the quotation marks, most of the apostrophes, the umlauts, the accents grave and acute, the long dashes, and the ellipses -- gone to question marks! … in all 200+ of my section/series descriptions!

However, after fixing them, they imported fine to the new site.

Hopefully some of the changes Jason mentioned will resolve the html concerns. Looking forward to these improvements. :)
