Hi Tori,

Yeah, well, a couple of years ago there was, FINALLY, a thread that started where you could report galleries that were NOT following the very simple RS rules. Some more dedicated RS members started listing MANY galleries that broke the rules. For instance galleries that contained everything from Toys, Posters, Models, Books, statues, pens, you name it, in this thread. So naturally a bitching and moaning fest brokeout and unfortunately, the powers that be, changed the rules of RS to please the whiners instead of sticking to their guns.

So, it is now ok to have pretty much anything you want in your gallery as long as you have some sort of "production or pre-production material" some where on your site.

Hope that answers your question. ^^

Yup Matt is absolutely right on the money. Before we weren't allowed to post anything except cels, production sketches, original sketches, hankens, and reproductions. However, people starting expressing concerns about posting posters, toys, figures, personal drawings, and other non-cel related stuff.

Needless to say it is understandable that many people do not want these types of items being added to RS galleries. But, some people complained (not really sure if they were even RS sponsors) and the RS rules were adjusted to permit adding the non-cel items. So for better or worse those non-cel types of items were added and continue to be added regularly.

Personally I think RS is the best cels gallery/community out there with a TON of information contained in the ever growing forums and galleries too! Have a great one! Cheers! =)

I'm surprised you hadn't noticed maquettes in Mark McHaley's gallery before now, Tori...
(Of course, maquettes would count as production art, official repros being like sericels, and fan made ones like fan cels...) (actually, looking at the gallery, he seems to have removed them)
