signed cels

Thats a great idea.
I think you are right too.
I dont want to decrease the value of the cel and I know a lot of anime fans dont like dub voices.

Thanks again for everyones advice.

Signature value varies from collector to collector and signer to signer. I generally find autographs to be a horrible blot on a cel or drawing. Official sources have sometimes tried to sell signed cels for more than unsigned, but that seems less prevalent now than it used to be. Perhaps they realized it was counterproductive.

Signatures of dead men seem to go down better than signatures of the living. But only of famous dead men. Nothing worse than a signature from someone you've never heard of because their fame faded decades ago on a cel from something that is itself still popular.

I have many signed cels with some celebs writing directly on the surface such as the GoNagai, Moriyama-san(Ako) & Amy Howard which I plan to keep in the collection. However on the Marine Boy cel which I've yet to see another I had the American voice actors sign on a seperate sheet of blank cel as an overlay as not to add or decrease it's value. A judgement call on your personal preference really, it depends if you collect cels for enjoyment or $peculation
