unusual search absence

Well that's true of course. ^_^

I just wasn't sure what he meant because if it's a closed gallery of a stranger you normally wouldn't stumble across the note, but if it's the closed gallery of a someone you know then it would seem more interesting to know what they're doing. At any rate, it seems that most of the people who do big announcement closings seem to be doing them because they're unhappy about something or because they're trying to get away annoying people.

But some closed galleries are harder to find than others. If you change the name of your gallery and the URL every month. If you eliminate cel, sketch, genga, gallery, etc buzz words from your text and "gallery" from the webpage edges they don't show up as much in search engines. Anime character names show up in image search engines too. If you eliminate the official name of your gallery and rename the gallery every time you enter the chat room. Your images might still show in image search engines (esp from the less popular titles), but you gallery becomes a little harder to locate. :P

But where's the fun in having a completely hidden and closed gallery? That's no fun. ^_^

Most people who do big announcement closings b/c they're upset with someone come back within a few months . . . :P

OFF-TOPIC reply: Ha! I can see how that would make your gallery a lot harder to find. But it just seems like so much work . . . >.< It'd cost a bit of money, and you'd need the know-how, but it seems easier to just have your own webspace if you really want your gallery to be for your eyes only. That or password protect all of your cels. ^_^

Hmm...I meant to say "because they're trying to get away FROM annoying people" not "...get away annoying people". ------------------ Yeah...that's true most of them do come back. Why can't I create line breaks in posts here? Anyone know how to create them? ---------------------- I must say it's not very fun collecting artwork and only looking at them yourself. I suppose some people can do that by buying expensive items in auctions and not disclosing themselves to the public, but I wonder how they feel about holding back? ----------------- If you password protected everything would that mean that no titles would appear on your front page? ?^_^?
