To those in Los Angeles adjacent areas..
The Pacific Asia Museum in Pasadena is having an exhibit which runs from Feb. 19 through August 9 that some of you might find interesting:
http://www.pacificasiamuseum.org/calendar/exhibitions/Samurai.htm I'm proud to say that it will be featuring several pieces from my collection alongside many others and promises to be a very interesting experience. I will be attending a few of the events including the opening (of course) as well as March 22 with Stan Sakai and (at least some of) the Anime Film Festival. Hope to see some of you there!

That is quite an honor! Congratulations on such a splendid opportunity. You and your collection are very deserving.
This is very cool ^_^ Congrats!!!
Thank you WC and kittens for your support. Tonight's opening was a surprisingly huge success - such a beautiful little museum right in the heart of Pasadena. They served complementary sake and hors d'oeuvres and then proceeded with the presentation, followed by a guided tour of the exhibits. I got to talk at length with Mr. Sakai and his lovely wife (and even got a picture with him next to some of his artwork). Afterwards, we all went out for sushi and more sake...man, good times. Again, the exhibition will be going on for 5 months - so anyone in the area should make a point of checking it out! Pics (you need to be member of Anime-Beta):
